21 Students to be Honored Throughout New Jersey--
(Bergen County, New Jersey; May 17, 2013) –- The Hispanic Business Council Scholarship Foundation of NJ, Inc. (HBCSF) will award $47,000 in scholarships and stipends for course-required materials to 21 current college and college-bound Hispanic students from New Jersey at the 22nd Annual Scholarship Gala. Janet Sharma, Executive Director of the Volunteer Center of Bergen County, will be honored for her leadership and contributions to the community.
The gala will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at The Estate at Florentine Gardens, 97 Rivervale Rd. in River Vale, New Jersey. The event is the nonprofit organization’s major fund-raiser of the year for scholarship and stipend support.

Upper Montclair, NJ (May 2013) – The Board of Trustees for the Citizens Committee of the Essex County Presby Memorial Iris Gardens is proud to announce that Linda Sercus, Executive Director for the Gardens, has been presented a Distinguished Service Award by the Historic Iris Preservation Society. This award was announced at the 2013 American Iris Society Convention in April and recognizes Linda “for her devotion to historic iris preservation through her determined work to restore the Essex County Presby Memorial Iris Garden as the premiere living museum of bearded iris evolution.”
